The Department of Medicine welcomed new faculty on Friday, August 18th with an institutional resource fair followed by an orientation session. Sponsored by the Office of Faculty Development, over 50 attendees enjoyed presentations covering topics such as career development and diversity, equity, and inclusion to the clinical, educational, and research landscape across the School of Medicine and within the Department of Medicine.
Presentations were preceded by an informal resource fair featuring booths from several School of Medicine and Department of Medicine organizations. New faculty had the opportunity to browse and ask questions of representatives from the Bernard Becker Medical Library, the Clinical Research Training Center, OUTmed, the Forum for Women in Medicine (FWIM), the Institute of Clinical and Translational Sciences (ICTS), the Institute for Informatics, Mentorship to Enhance Diversity in Academia (MEDA), Office of Technology Management, Academy of Educators, and Siteman Cancer Center.
