Mentoring

  • Quick Guide for Mentees: Some Principles and Tips – Developed by Advancing the Workforce in Academic Medicine (AWAM), Mentorship to Enhance Development in Academia Program (MEDA), and the Office of Faculty Development (OFD) in the Department of Medicine.
  • The Future Workforce in Medicine (FWIM) is an initiative created to support the professional and personal development of trainees in the Department of Medicine. FWIM hosts workshops, lectures, and networking events throughout the academic year to provide career development guidance, facilitate mentoring opportunities and foster a sense of camaraderie.
  • The compact between postdoctoral appointees and their mentors (pdf) was drafted by the AAMC Group on Graduate Research, Education and Training. The compact helps create discussions about the relationship and commitments necessary for a quality mentee/mentor experience.
