The Department of Medicine welcomed new faculty on Tuesday, August 27th with an institutional resource fair followed by an orientation session. Sponsored by the Office of Faculty Development, over 40 attendees learned about career development, professionalism, and appointments/promotions. Attendees interacted with Dr. Vicky Fraser during Chat with the Chair and with other senior faculty during breakout group discussions and a networking session to close out orientation.
The information resource fair featured booths from several School of Medicine and Department of Medicine organizations. New faculty had the opportunity to browse and ask questions of representatives from the Clinical Research Training Center, Advancing Women in Academic Medicine (AWAM) the Forum for Women in Medicine (FWIM), the Institute of Clinical and Translational Sciences (ICTS), Mentorship to Enhance Diversity in Academia (MEDA), OUTmed, Office of Health Information and Data Science, the Office of Technology Management, Bernard Becker Medical Library, Academy of Educators, the Academic Women’s Network, WUSM Clinician Support Team, Office of Career Development and Faculty Promotions, the Executive Committee the Faculty Council (ECFC), the WUCAT Team for EPIC, and Siteman Cancer Center.
