This Seminar will be offered twice in 2021 on the following dates, beginning on day one at 11:45 AM ET and concluding each at 4:00 PM ET.

In the aftermath of 2020, women in medicine and science seeking promotion and career advancement are navigating greater challenges as barriers to achieving success become harder to overcome. How can you gain the visibility you need to achieve your professional goals while striving to balance your additional personal and professional responsibilities in an uncertain and continuously evolving environment? Join us virtually for the Leadership Development Seminar for Women Faculty in Medicine and Science to learn strategies for overcoming these challenges and more.

What Can I Expect?
Delivered over three days, the Leadership Development Seminar for Women Faculty in Medicine and Science will provide you with strategies for gaining visibility, career advancement and promotion opportunities as well as ample chances to network with peers facing similar challenges. You’ll also take part in interactive breakout sessions and critical conversations focused on additional leadership topics central to achieving your professional goals, such as: strategies for supporting well-being and resiliency, allyship, and navigating through change.

Who Should Attend?

This seminar is open to women physicians and scientists, who hold a faculty appointment as an Assistant or Associate Professor, at an AAMC member institution’s School of Medicine. Due to high demand, we are unable to accept registrants outside of this target audience. Attendees should have demonstrated leadership ability, either in formal or informal leadership roles, and/or seek to obtain career advancement in leadership positions within academic medicine and science.

This Seminar has been designed to support women faculty in a virtual setting until the in-person early and and mid-career women faculty seminars resume.

Fees
The registration fee is $775 per person and covers participation in the three day virtual seminar. The registration fee does not include the optional CME fee of $50.

How Do I Register?
Unlike our in-person leadership development seminars for women faculty, this seminar is not an application-based program, and multiple faculty from one institution may participate. Please keep in mind that participants are required to attend the seminar in full, as content and activities have been designed to engage you with peers and faculty.
