During the summer of 2023, the Office of Faculty Development solicited nominations to recognize outstanding individuals for their work and contributions in the Department of Medicine during the COVID-19 pandemic. On November 28th we celebrated our DOM trainees, staff, and faculty awardees at a recognition ceremony.
The Doris Duke Fund to Retain Clinical Scientists Program (DDFRCS) was developed to provide innovative institutional solutions to reduce faculty attrition by assisting junior faculty facing extraprofessional demands. The DDRCS provides broad-based education to raise awareness and implement new interventions, as well as resources and mentoring to support junior faculty facing extraprofessional challenges.
