The Department of Medicine at Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a Co-Director for the Office of Faculty Development (OFD) to replace Dr. Mario Castro, who recently retired. The Co-Director will work closely with Dr. Angela Brown, Professor of Medicine and Co-Director of the OFD, the Director of the Office of Inclusion and Diversity, and the Chair of the Department of Medicine. The OFD provides department of medicine faculty members with resources to support professional and personal growth and development in clinical care, education and teaching, research, scholarship and leadership. The OFD Co-Director will support university and department initiatives to advance faculty satisfaction, career development and success through development and implementation of training programs, workshops, seminars, and other activities.
The OFD currently leads the following programs and activities:
- New Faculty Orientation
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) & Clinician Educator Portfolio (CEP) Workshops
- Leadership Training Courses – basic and advanced
- Mentorship and Career Development Workshops
- Diversity Programming in collaboration with the DOM Office of Inclusion and Diversity
- Faculty and Family Day
The Co-Director will work to maintain and enhance ongoing OFD activities in addition to developing new programs as necessary to enhance faculty career satisfaction and professional development.
Requirement: Associate Professor or Professor in the Department of Medicine
Compensation: Protected time and effort provided
