Child and Family Care Announcement

Child and Family Care Resources

As employees navigate the challenges of caring for family and children while working, we are aware of the pressures and stressors people face. Support is available to help our community balance work and family life.

Special Announcement: Family Learning Center has space available, welcomes WashU families to apply today!

Have your regular child care arrangements changed? Did you know that you can work from home and still take advantage of The Family Learning Center for child care? The center is open and welcoming families, with full-time and part-time spaces available!

COVID-19 has changed so much, but safety remains the center’s number one priority. In partnership with Bright Horizons®, Washington University has implemented important health and safety protocols to keep your child safe. Created in consultation with pediatric infectious disease experts (including our own WashU experts), these protocols are already successfully in use at many of Bright Horizons centers across the country– and include:

  • Reduced class size
  • Daily health screening and temperature check for adults and childre
  • Drop-offs and pick-ups restricted to the lobby or outsid
  • Masks for teachers, staff, and all other adults in our center
  • Frequent cleaning and disinfecting of high-touch surfaces, toys, and laundered items

Just as important, our dedicated teachers have been carefully trained and are fully committed to your child’s safety and well-being.

Additional information, including a video of the center’s enhanced protocols in action, can be found on the Family Learning Center home page.
